Kopparberg

The Swedish company Kopparberg manufactures natural ciders since they settled in 1882 in Kopparberg, Sweden, working in the brewery sector. The founders of the Kopparberg company, 36 regional brewers, chose the small Swedish population for copper reserves. In fact, the name ‘Kopparberg‘ could be translated into English as “copper mountain”.

But it was not until 1994 that the brothers Peter and Dan-Anders Bronsman bought the old brewery to reestablish the business and make it stronger than ever. The brewery, which is still standing after 130 years, is one of the main tourist attractions of the Swedish town. The company has maintained its local and family character as many generations of Kopparberg families have worked in the company of natural ciders.

Innovation in the making of cider

Currently the Kopparberg cider is sold in more than 30 countries and is the best selling in the world. In Spain, natural cider Kopparberg was introduced in 2010 in two strategic points of the country: the Balearic Islands and the Costa Blanca, as well as all tourists who visit both areas can enjoy natural and flavored cider.

One of the great innovations of Kopparberg was to modify the market and the interests of consumers.
